What is it?

The Gobal Media Forum (GMF) is a global conference for media development organized by Deutsche Welle, Germany’s public international broadcaster. The GMF attracts journalists, media managers, tech experts, NGO representatives, artists, entrepreneurs, scientists, civil servants and politicians to discuss the role of the media in a globalized world. To foster interdisciplinary exchange, GMF offers a wide range of panel discussions, workshops, networking sessions, interactive presentations and exhibitions. One highlight is the Media Innovation Lab Day (13th of June) where innovative developments in the media stands in focus, such as internet governance, big data and journalism tech trends. The forum’s eleventh edition takes place under the motto ‘Global Inequalities’. Visitors from approximately 100 nations will join the three days lasting forum.
